A directory of clinicians, listed for patients. Built by MD-Universe, the professional network those doctors already belong to.
What “verified” means
A verified listing belongs to a clinician who confirmed their identity against their licence and wrote the profile themselves. The person editing the page is the person the licence belongs to.
It does not mean we assessed anyone’s skill, reviewed outcomes, or endorse them. Verification here is about identity, not quality. Anyone telling you a directory can certify a doctor’s competence is overselling.
Who appears
Only physicians who switched on patient listing themselves. The underlying registry holds well over a million records; almost none of them are here, because being listed for patients is a decision each doctor makes rather than something done to them.
What we store about you
Searching and browsing take no account and leave nothing behind — there is no sign-in in front of the directory, the prices or anything in DocTalk.
Booking needs an account, because a practice has to know who is coming. What that holds and for how long is set out in the terms.
Where a practice has connected its calendar, you can book a time here. Booking asks for your name, date of birth, phone and email, because that is what the practice needs to match you to the right chart. Those details are passed to the practice’s own scheduling system and are not kept by MyCare-Universe.
Fees
Free for patients. Nothing on this site is behind a payment, and nothing about you is sold to anyone.
Free for a clinician to be listed, too, and free to be removed. Clinicians who want online booking, a profile they write themselves, and a booking button on their own Google listing pay a monthly subscription for it.
What that fee does not buy is position. Verified profiles appear first, because a profile a clinician keeps current is more useful than one nobody has confirmed. Between two verified profiles nothing is for sale, there is no advertising anywhere on this site, and no listing is treated differently based on how a patient pays.
